The Clan MacLachlan Society, Western USA Branch, has established an
annual Scholarship Program. The goals of the Scholarship Program are to
provide financial assistance to individuals studying courses related to
Scottish culture and to promote education about Scottish traditions and
heritage. The scholarships shall be awarded in amounts of $100.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a course, classes or studies
related to Scottish culture, tradition or heritage.
Are you learning how to play the bagpipe? Is your son or daughter
taking classes in Highland Dancing? Have you submitted your application
for one of the Branch Scholarships? If you haven't, you still have time
— but the deadline of July 31st is closer than you think! Winners of
this year's Scholarship Program will be announced at the 2004 Pleasanton
Games.
